Intrusion detection can be broken down into three discreet levels:
|
| • |
Outside perimeter – this premises-based coverage can include video surveillance, motion detectors and / or vibration sensors to offer you the earliest possible notification of a security breach before an intruder reaches the actual building or dwelling. |
| • |
Interior perimeter – including technologies like magnetic switches on doors and windows, glass break detectors and barrier bars, this secondary level of intrusion detection offers a more focused level of security when outer-perimeter monitoring is not needed. |
| • |
Localized – much like a museum will install specific security measures to protect a single piece of artwork, localized intrusion detection focuses on a single area – a cash room or vault in a corporate setting, or a specific item in a home – a gun cabinet, safe room or high-value possession |
